The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan has established an integrated energy-efficient campus through a comprehensive modernization program that combines smart infrastructure, high-performance building systems, digital energy management, and resource-efficient technologies.

Every major campus facility has been designed or upgraded to optimize energy performance, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support sustainable operations.

By integrating intelligent monitoring, continuous energy performance assessment, and internationally recognized efficiency practices, the Academy is building a resilient, low-carbon campus that reflects its long-term commitment to innovation, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.

Energy Governance & Capacity Building

The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan advances energy sustainability not only through campus infrastructure, but also through legal education, innovation, professional training and public-sector capacity building in the field of energy resource management.

A dedicated national competition titled “Innovative Approaches to Preventing Violations in the Use of Energy Resources and Organizing Effective Control in the Sector” was organized by the Academy to identify practical, research-based proposals on preventing violations in the use of electricity and natural gas. The competition attracted nearly 200 participants, including practitioners, researchers and students from higher education and research institutions. Winners were selected by a competition commission and awarded monetary prizes.

The competition included awards of 20 million UZS for first place, 15 million UZS for second place and 10 million UZS for third place, encouraging applied innovation, comparative analysis of foreign experience and practical solutions for improving control over energy resource use.

In parallel, the Academy developed methodological and educational materials for prosecutors and energy-sector professionals, including manuals on prosecutorial supervision over the use and consumption of energy resources, legal regulation of natural gas supply, and legal foundations of electricity-sector governance.

Together with the Ministry of Energy, the Academy’s E-Learning Department developed distance-learning modules on electricity-sector operations, consumer use of electricity and effective organization of gas supply systems. A total of 2,104 energy-sector specialists were enrolled in these courses, and 1,490 participants received certificates.

Professional development issues for energy sector employees were discussed.

Mobile training sessions on prosecutorial supervision over energy resource use and energy efficiency legislation are also conducted in the regions, including practical training for prosecution and internal affairs officers in Samarkand and Jizzakh regions.

Through these activities, the Academy strengthens energy governance, promotes lawful and efficient use of electricity and natural gas, and contributes to national efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce resource losses.

Environmental Governance & National Engagement

The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan contributes to strengthening environmental governance by integrating environmental law, sustainability and evidence-based decision-making into legal education, applied research and institutional cooperation.
