Building a Sustainable, Smart and Inclusive Campus

The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a modern specialized higher education institution dedicated to educating future law enforcement professionals through excellence in education, applied research, innovation, and sustainable campus development.Located on a single integrated campus in Tashkent, the Academy combines contemporary educational infrastructure with extensive green open spaces, inclusive facilities, and environmentally responsible campus management. Designed to promote safety, accessibility, wellbeing, and resource efficiency, the campus provides a high-quality learning environment aligned with international sustainability principles and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our Green Academy initiative integrates sustainability principles into education, research and daily campus operations, supporting responsible leadership and long-term contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

A Modern Integrated Campus

Established in 2018 and reorganized on 28 November 2022, the Academy operates a single campus covering 48,566 m².

The campus integrates academic buildings, administrative offices, a student dormitory, library facilities, classrooms, lecture halls, a cafeteria and recreational spaces into a unified educational environment. The total gross building area is 23,748 m², while the building footprint occupies only 6,421 m², allowing most of the campus to remain open and landscaped.

As part of its long-term development strategy, the Academy continues to expand sustainable infrastructure through the construction of new sports and recreational facilities and the implementation of environmentally responsible campus solutions.

Open Space Network

Environmental quality is a defining feature of the Academy campus. Open spaces account for 85.7% of the total campus area, creating a healthy, comfortable and climate-resilient environment for education, research and recreation.

The campus incorporates mature forest vegetation, landscaped gardens, lawns, pedestrian green corridors and rainwater infiltration areas that improve biodiversity, reduce urban heat, enhance air quality and support sustainable stormwater management.

A total of 21,517 m² is dedicated to permeable surfaces for natural rainwater infiltration, helping replenish groundwater resources while minimizing surface runoff and flood risk. These green spaces also serve as outdoor learning environments that strengthen environmental awareness among students and staff.

Campus Safety & Security

Ensuring a safe and resilient campus is a core institutional priority of the Academy.

Campus security is managed through a comprehensive protection system combining 24/7 CCTV surveillance, intelligent access control, emergency alarm systems, fire protection infrastructure and continuous monitoring, supported by the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Regular emergency drills, evacuation exercises, occupational safety training and first-aid programmes strengthen institutional preparedness and operational resilience, ensuring a secure learning environment for students, staff and visitors.

The Academy is committed to providing a barrier-free, inclusive and universally accessible campus where every student, employee and visitor can participate fully in academic life.

Accessibility is integrated into campus planning through step-free access, ramps, elevators equipped with Braille buttons and voice announcements, tactile guidance systems, accessible sanitary facilities, lactation rooms and barrier-free circulation routes. Dedicated accessible parking, bilingual wayfinding signage and a digital accessibility map further enhance independent campus navigation.

Inclusive infrastructure is complemented by institutional support services coordinated by the Health and Safety Department, whose staff receive regular training in disability awareness, emergency response and first aid. Together, these measures ensure equal access, dignity and safety for all members of the Academy community.

The Academy promotes a healthy campus by providing free, accessible and preventive healthcare services to all students, academic staff and administrative personnel.

Medical services are delivered through the on-campus Medical Center by qualified healthcare professionals and include primary medical care, emergency assistance, health monitoring, preventive examinations, vaccination campaigns and health promotion activities.

In 2025, the Medical Center provided 1,166 free medical consultations, including 571 consultations for students and 595 consultations for employees, demonstrating the Academy’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding the health and wellbeing of its academic community.

To ensure access to specialized healthcare, the campus is located only 650 metres from Family Health Centre No. 52, providing additional medical support whenever required.
